Converse World Headquarters
Jennifer Carpenter Architect is the design architect for the 200,000 square foot world headquarters for Converse at the Lovejoy building in Boston, Massachusetts.
The space includes work space for over 600 people in all the brand’s departments, as well as a yoga studio, fitness center, a café/commons, a materials library, and showrooms.
Our work included the fitout of all ten floors, as well as the design of a new pavilion building for retail and music recording. Prior to the start of the tenant fitout, we worked closely with the building’s developer, Related Beal, and the developers’ design team to completely transform what was a dilapidated eyesore into a neighborhood draw. JCA also provided design guidance for the new two story addition, including the selection of all materials and finishes.
JCA was involved with the project from the early site search phase, helping Converse vet many possible buildings before landing on the Lovejoy site.
Boston based BH+A provided Architect of Record services for the Converse fit-out.
The project opened in summer 2015.
Converse selected Jennifer Carpenter Architect to design the new world headquarters for Converse Inc. in Boston, MA. The 200,000 square-foot office will be located on the revitalized Lovejoy Wharf in a former warehouse. In addition to the existing eight story structure, the design will add a two-story addition and a standalone two level pavilion structure.
